Savernake Nannies regard full time to be over 25 hours a week


A nanny is a qualified or very experienced person with expertise in sole charge care of children and organising all nursery duties. 

Live in nannies are required to have a bedroom and where possible sole use of a bathroom or share the children’s bathroom.

Using an Ofsted registered nanny allows parents to gain financial assistance with their childcare costs.




Savernake Nannies  regard part time to be under 25 hours a week




Savernake Nannies regard Temporary to be no longer than 16 consecutive weeks.



Savernake Nannies  regard After School to be up to 15 hours a week



A mothers help is usually an unqualified person but with some experience of childcare, such as babysitting or newly qualified/moving over from nursery work

They are usually 18- 24 years of age.

They work alongside the parents and help with light household chores.

Live in mothers help are required to have a bedroom and where possible sole use of a bathroom or share the children’s bathroom.



This position is usually for families with school aged children. The Nannies duties are to help with the day to day running of the house: school run, family grocery shop, cleaning, laundry etc.…

Usually this role changes during school holidays to sole charge of childcare.



This position is a temporary position for 1-6 weeks following the birth of a baby. The maternity nurse offers help with feeding, sleeping and introducing the new baby into family life.



 A night nanny comes into your home daily from 7pm until 7am and takes sole charge of a baby overnight whilst you catch

up on your sleep.



If you need to go away on business or holiday without the children in tow then a proxy parent will move into your home and take over from you working 24/7. This can range from 1 night to a few weeks.


You should expect to pay an hourly rate during the day plus

a fixed 12 hour nightly fee




Savernake Nannies regard a babysitter from 6pm. The nanny will come to your home and carry out the bedtime routine and stay with the children until the parents return

Details of clients and nannies will not be used for any purpose other than the one specified, and will not be sold or released to any mailing list or any other interested party.
